PEER Annual Meeting 2020 Speaker Bio: Professor, UCB, PEER Director. Prof. Mosalam obtained his PhD from Cornell University in Structural Engineering. In 1997, he joined UC-Berkeley where he is currently Taisei Professor of Civil Engineering, Core-PI of TBSI & SinBerBEST, and PEER Director. He conducts research on performance and health monitoring of structures. He is active in assessment and rehabilitation of essential facilities and in designs for energy efficiency and sustainability using probabilistic modeling and hybrid simulation. He is the recipient of 2006 ASCE Huber research prize, 2013 UC-Berkeley chancellor award for public services, and 2015 EERI outstanding paper award.
